“Underwater Exploring”
Hexham General Hospital

This is the Paediatric Treatment room in the Accident and Emergency department. This commission was produced as part of the Healing Arts project running within the hospital, which opened Summer 2003.
The brief was to provide a distraction for the children being treated in this room using the theme “Water”. The design includes divers, mermaids and sea creatures.
The ceiling was painted with silhouettes and bubbles.
